February 2026
A month of connection, growth, and meaningful moments in our community.
February was a truly special month for our community, filled with meaningful moments, heartfelt connections, and unforgettable experiences.
Wonderful Students
One of the highlights of the month was the graduation of the Hinton family, a wonderful family from the United States who allowed us to be part of their journey of learning Spanish. From the very beginning, they brought joy and energy into our community. Their children were incredibly fun and full of life, and as a family, they were kind, respectful, and a true pleasure to have with us. Their graduation day was especially emotional and memorable—a beautiful celebration of their dedication and growth.
On that same day, we also celebrated the graduation of someone very dear to us: Patty. Sharing this journey with her has been a true blessing. We created meaningful memories together, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of her Spanish learning experience. Her commitment and spirit left a lasting impression on all of us.

Día de San Valentín
February also gave us the opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to love and friendship in Costa Rica.
It was a vibrant and joyful event where all the groups came together to organize different activity stands. Some prepared delicious food, others focused on wellness, while some created fun games and even spaces for writing heartfelt letters.
The entire community—students and teachers alike—shared chocolates, kind messages, and genuine moments of appreciation for one another.

A Cultural Experience at the Omar Salazar Obando Museum
During February, we also had the opportunity to visit the Omar Salazar Obando Museum, located at the Atlantic Campus of the University of Costa Rica. The museum building itself is an architectural historical heritage site of great importance to the culture of Turrialba. It stands as a testament to the region’s history and identity.
Inside, we explored a remarkable archaeological exhibition that showcases the way of life of the earliest inhabitants of Turrialba. The collection includes an impressive variety of ceramic figures and lithic tools such as scrapers and knives, offering a vivid glimpse into the past. One of the most fascinating parts of the visit was the reconstruction of an indigenous dwelling, which allowed us to better understand how these communities once lived.
It was an enriching and enjoyable experience for everyone—both students and teachers had a wonderful time learning, exploring, and connecting with the cultural roots of Costa Rica.

Grateful for a Great Month
Above all, we took time to reflect on the greatest love of all—the love of God—which continues to guide and inspire everything we do. February reminded us that learning a language goes far beyond words; it is about connection, community, and shared experiences that stay with us for a lifetime.
