Love Born in Humility: Celebrating Christmas at La Misión
Yesterday we celebrated Christmas at La Misión in a warm, joyful, and deeply meaningful way. The evening was filled with a beautiful blend of traditional Christmas carols, readings from Scripture, freshly brewed coffee, lots of laughter, and even a little visit from Santa Claus that brought smiles to all ages. For two full hours, we shared joy, community, and heartfelt conversation as we reflected on the true meaning of Christmas: the love of Christ entering the world as a humble baby. Together, we also lit the fourth Advent candle—the Candle of Love—reminding us that God’s love was born not in a palace, but in a manger. We reflected on how true love does not require luxury or perfection; it simply needs space, humility, and open hearts. This celebration was a gentle yet powerful reminder that love can be born anywhere when we make room for it.

Celebrating Costa Rican Christmas Traditions at CISA
At CISA, we celebrated Christmas on the last Thursday of classes by taking time to explore Costa Rican Christmas traditions together. We shared conversations about our favorite holiday foods, decorated the Christmas tree, and enjoyed a very special moment of fellowship between students and teachers. The children had a wonderful time, filling the space with laughter and excitement. We closed the celebration by sharing warm hot chocolate, creating a simple yet meaningful ending to a joyful Christmas gathering.
