CISA Accommodations

Live, Learn and Belong

Choosing where you stay is a central part of your Spanish immersion experience, and at CISA we make sure your home in Costa Rica supports your learning, your comfort, and your connection with the community. We offer two carefully designed options—Homestay with a local Costa Rican family or a private CISA Rental Home—each providing a safe and welcoming environment where students can rest, learn, and experience authentic daily life. Whether you’re an individual, a couple, a family, or part of a group, our accommodations are selected to enhance your immersion and help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

The Homestay Experience

The Homestay Experience at CISA offers students a safe, supportive, and culturally rich environment where they can practice Spanish every day in a natural and meaningful way. Our host families are carefully selected for their hospitality, reliability, and commitment to welcoming students as part of their household. Each home provides the essentials for a comfortable stay—including private bedrooms, daily meals, laundry service, and internet access—while giving students the opportunity to engage in authentic Costa Rican life. Living with a local family accelerates language learning, strengthens cultural understanding, and provides a foundation of warmth and connection that enhances the entire immersion experience.

What’s Included in the Homestay Experience

  • Three home-cooked meals per day (Lunches are provided at CISA during school days.)
  • Private bedroom Safe, clean, and comfortable accommodations within a local Costa Rican home.
  • High-speed internet access Reliable connection for communication, studying, and personal needs.
  • Laundry service Weekly washing of personal clothing and bedding.
  • Warm orientation and welcome Students receive guidance on the home, community, expectations, and daily routines to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Proximity to CISA Most homes are within walking distance or a short bus ride from the school.

A Cultural Embrace

A homestay is more than a place to sleep—it is the heartbeat of true immersion. It is waking up to the smell of fresh coffee, sharing stories around a family table, and discovering that language grows fastest in the warmth of everyday life. In a Costa Rican home, laughter becomes your first teacher, kindness becomes your dictionary, and the rhythms of the household become the melody that carries your Spanish forward. Here you don’t just visit a culture, you live inside it, one conversation, one meal, and one friendship at a time.
